Lips | Plum

Plumful is a very sheer lipstick, it's perfect for when I want some colour but not too much on my lips. This is one of my most used lipsticks, as I wear it pretty much daily. Well I actually need to purchase a new one as I'm running out fast.

Favourite Reads.

I find myself always reading something, whether it be a blog, twitter or a magazine. Here's a few recommendations below.

Blogs

I'm constantly on bloglovin just reading though all my favourite blogs, its other blogs that give me inspiration to write my own. Beauty and fashion are my go to blog posts but I do enjoy the odd food and home post. Some current blogs I'm liking are gh0stparties, viviannadoesmakeup and shirleyswardrobe.

Social

Twitter and Instagram are my most visited websites, I'm afraid to say I do check them both many times a day. Little obsessed. In social I will include a few shopping websites as I do tend to browse quite a lot and purchase very often, probably my most viewed are John Lewis, H&M and Topshop.

Tumblr

Well would you call this reading? There's not that much to read on tumblr, but its still one of my recommendations as it is the holy grail of inspiration. If ever I have spare time and I'm doing absolutely nothing i'll spend some time on tumblr just scrolling through pictures.

DailyMail

I wish I was joking, but I do like to have a good read daily. I tend to go straight to the showbiz section and then the news section.

Magazines

Blogs have taken over magazines for me, but occasionally I will pick up a magazine or too normally when I'm travelling or going on a long journey. Mostly depending who's on the cover, either Elle, Marie Claire or Cosmo.

Any recommendations? What do you like reading?

Lips | Nude

For my nude lip combination, I use MAC's lipstick in patisserie and over the top with MAC lipglass in lust. This for me, is my perfect nude, its neutral but with gloss on top adds some shine to the lips. Perfect for those days where you want to wear lipstick but nothing too 'out there'.

Lots of love,

Lips | Berry

I wish I could wear MAC's lipstick in rebel more often as it's so vibrant and fun. This is my go to lipstick when I go out. Sometimes I even wear it in the day by just applying a light layer. Over all lovely plummy-pink.

Lots of love,

Make Up Monday

I thought you may fancy a little nose into my daily makeup, above are my most used products which I use day-to-day. I like to stick to the same things regarding my make up as I know what works well for me.
I'm currently using NARS Sheer Matte in the shade Barcelona and I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender. Concealer is always tricky for me as I have terrible dark circles underneath my eyes, right now I've found that the Bobbi Brown corrector in Bisque is working really well. Over the top to conceal I use NARS creamy concealer in custard. To set everything in place all day I use Rimmel Stay Matte powder. The laguna bronzer by NARS has been a staple product in my make up collection, it ticks every box when it comes to bronzers. The shade is gorgeous and suits so many skin tones. It leaves my skin glowing and looks like I've just been on holiday.
If I want my eyebrows to stay in place I have to set them as they are quite thick. I recently discovered Benefit Speed Brow which is great for setting them all day however before I set my brows I will lightly fill them in with MAC's spiked brow pencil.
I keep my eyes neutral with groundwork paint pot from MAC all over my lid and Urban Decay's 24/7 velvet glide on eye pencil just along the lash line.
For mascara, first I always prime my lashes with LancĂ´me's booster base mascara and over the top I'm currently using Clinique's lash power feathering mascara.
I normally go for a nude lip every day (which would be MAC's patisserie) but today I decided to choose a vibrant lip and went for MAC's Rebel.
There's just a quick round up of pretty much everything in the photo above and it a little insight into my daily make up.

The REAL Steal!

Eyeliner is one the trickiest things to do when applying make up. I've been using 'Benefit They're Real!' Mascara for a while now, so when the push-up liner was released I eagerly wanted to try it out and see if it would be as good. However I just didn't know if I would use it as I already have so many eyeliners. Then I stumbled across this set on John Lewis which includes 'They're Real! Mascara', 'They're Real! Push-Up Liner' and a sample of 'They're Real! Remover'. The liner is a pen style product with a gel formula that's pushed out with a twist at the bottom, it has a rubber applicator with a slanted edge which makes it so easy to apply. If you're after an eyeliner that won't budge all day long, even with rubbing and watery eyes, then this is perfect for you. Ensure to use a good make-up remover, well that's what the Benefit They're Real! Remover is for. The mascara is no doubt one of the best selling mascaras out there, and I'm sure the Push-Up Liner will be on its way to the top soon. Overall a great little set for only £19.50.

What do you think so far on the Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner?

"How did you lose so much weight?"

So over the past year I've lost some weight and toned up. Many of my friends and family are always asking me how I did it, what did I do and do I have any tips? So I thought I would put this together to share with everyone, and it comes down to this really...

Number one. Consistency and dedication are key. Most people always ask me "when will I see results?" It takes time to see muscle definition as it takes time to burn the unwanted fat so don't expect to see a massive change in a few weeks.

Number two.  Be prepared to be dedicated, if you want results and you want something changing then its up to you to take the time to put in the work. Make the time in your day to fit in a workout even if it's only short, any workout is better than none.

Number three. Drinking water daily is very important. Drinking water will increase energy, flush out toxins and help the fat breakdown. Water will also improve skin complexion this is because when the skin is hydrated it creates a healthier look. I swapped fizzy drinks to drinking a bottle of water every day, as of course water has zero calories.

Number four. Wearing the right clothes can help but by all means don't go out and buy all the fanciest gear, probably the most important things you need to start with are a pair of trainers with good support and a sports bra. Wearing the right things will mainly help with support but it is also nice to look good, especially if you're going to a gym. I purchased a Nike Dri-Fit vest top and leggings a while ago now, and they really are worth the twenty something pound each. The fabric wicks away the sweat keeping you dry and comfortable.

Number five. Equipment. You don't always need to join a gym and I managed to lose weight and tone up by just exercising at home. I use dumbbells and a medicine ball in every workout I do, as these I think are beneficial to use in most exercises. I'm lucky enough that my dad has an elliptical machine, so sometimes I will do twenty minutes of cardio once or twice a week.

Number six. Create a routine. If you're consistent when working out it will make it much easier to actually do the exercise. Regardless of what time or day you workout, it's important to keep it consistent, because consistency will actually make you feel better in the long run.

Number seven. Focus. I would recommend by starting to focus on the overall body and then focusing on any 'problem areas', as you will probably notice some small changes just by working the overall body. My workouts mainly include core exercises as this was the area I wanted to work on. I've started to include arm exercises too as I this is my 'problem area', so instead of me constantly moaning about my arms I might as well do something about it. Of course squats are always included. Normally this will take me around 45minutes.

Wavy Hair 101

I recently had a hair cut, now, it may not look short to you, but to me it felt quite different, after I got out of the hairdressers. So I thought I would show off my 'new' hair and show how and what I use to create these curls.

The most important tool I use, which I've had for a few years, is the Remington Pearl Pro Curl Wand. The wand is quite large with a 32mm barrel, this helps to create bigger softer curls. It's really easy to use and it doesn't take me long to curl the whole of my hair.
Once I've curled all my hair I'll spray it with the L'Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray and then gently comb it through with the brush below.
The round brush underneath is what I use when I'm drying my hair, using the round brush helps keep my hair silky and soft and enhances the overall look. Every time I wash and style my hair I'll apply oil to the ends of my hair. You'll only need a small drop and it makes the hair shiny and tames the frizz.

Hope you're all having a lovely day!
